Course Description

This two-day course provides operators with the knowledge, techniques, and methods necessary for the safe and effective use of ballistic shields and bunkers. This quick-paced course offers a balance of classroom instruction, training drills, and hands-on evaluation of multiple ballistic defense systems.

Student Equipment:

Attire is full duty callout gear, including ballistic helmet and vest. Eye and hearing safety equipment are required. Students should bring any department ballistic shields, ballistic blankets or rolling ballistic bunkers if available. 400 rounds of handgun ammunition is required. 100 rounds of long gun ammunition is optional. A second handgun and/or duty rig on support side is a desired option, as are protective masks. Students should also bring any glass breeching equipment and deliberate searching equipment they would like to utilize and train with in conjunction (ie camera pole systems, robots, throw bots, mirrors.)

Note: SOB™ TACTICAL TRAINING will provide additional products including ballistic shields, ballistic blankets and ballistic rolling bunkers for additional student benefit and exposure.
